The Maison Bonheur Association is dedicated to empowering young girls, particularly those in vulnerable situations, by providing them with comprehensive training in culinary arts, hospitality, and catering. This six-month training program is held annually under the guidance of professional chefs who share their expertise and passion.
During this training, participants acquire practical and professional skills that are highly sought after in the job market. They are trained in culinary techniques, hotel management, and catering standards, providing them with the necessary tools to successfully enter the professional world. Maison Bonheur is committed to preparing these young girls for a more promising future by opening the doors to a career in a dynamic and growing sector.
The culinary training offered by the Maison Bonheur Association provides young girls with the opportunity to explore a rich culinary diversity by introducing them to various gastronomic traditions. Throughout their learning, they discover the techniques and signature recipes of Moroccan cuisine, known for its authentic flavors and fragrant spices, as well as the subtleties of French cuisine, renowned for its refinement and elegance.
In addition, participants are also introduced to Italian cuisine, famous for its pasta and flavorful dishes, along with other international cuisines that enrich their culinary repertoire. The training also includes a segment dedicated to pastry, where the young learners master the art of creating both classic and modern desserts, whether Moroccan, French, or from other cultures. This versatile approach allows trainees to develop a range of skills, making them capable of excelling in different professional environments.
The young girls benefit from a practical internship, organized once a week, which allows them to apply the skills acquired in the classroom. This internship takes place on-site at partner riads, hotels, and restaurants, providing participants with direct immersion in the professional world.
Depending on their specialties, the interns have the opportunity to work in the kitchen, in hospitality, or in catering and service. In the kitchen, they participate in the preparation of dishes, learning to manage the pace and demands of a professional kitchen. In hospitality, they discover management and customer service practices, while in catering, they refine their skills in customer service. This hands-on experience is essential for strengthening their skills and confidence, thereby preparing them to succeed in the job market.
Every two weeks, after their classes and practical internship, the young girls training with the Maison Bonheur Association apply their knowledge in an educational restaurant specifically designed for this purpose. This space allows them to practice in real conditions, managing the preparation of dishes, dining service, and welcoming customers.
Friends of the association are invited to reserve their meals at this restaurant, thereby contributing not only to the support of the young girls but also to the evaluation of their skills. This unique educational setting provides them with the opportunity to refine their culinary expertise and customer service abilities while benefiting from constructive feedback from clients. This experience boosts their confidence and prepares them for a successful transition into the professional world.
Support our actions for a future filled with happiness.
